ABOUT ME

I am a mother and live mostly at home with my husband, three wild children, two old dogs, and an absentee cat. We also have ponies, chickens and pigs! I have an inbuilt love, awe, and respect of nature, science and the way things work and interact both with and without intervention. I enjoy research and my primary fascination is the childbearing years.
I earned a distinction on my massage course with City&Guilds in 2012. I followed this with CPD in pregnancy massage but quickly realised that it wasn't enough for me. I then completed my Doula training with the awesome and inspiring Kate Woods of Conscious Birthing in 2015 and fell in love with the role. Since then I have gone on to become a breastfeeding peer, first training with Nurture Project International, then also with FAB (Families and Babies). I support families privately and through local NHS funded support groups. I am IPHM accredited in traditional woven wrap use (including Rebozo) through True Bliss Holistics. I have also trained with School of Babywearing for baby wearing peer support and consultancy. I have set up and co-host a sling library and Sling Walk. I supply pre-loved or repurposed cloth nappy kits. I also regularly attend CPD workshops and events and am always keen to learn and share knowledge whenever time and expense allows.
I am truly passionate about supporting bodily autonomy and educated, informed decision making. I don't believe that maternity care can be formulated with a one-size fits all pathway. Each body, each baby, each circumstance is unique. My role is to support you in figuring out and travelling the path that is right for You.
Your Body, Your Baby, Your Choice.
